SOUND THERAPY

Sound has been utilised in various cultures for thousands of years as a tool for healing. Every pain, every ache, every tension we have in our body can be traced back to some physical, mental or emotional event locked inside our body. Sound Therapy is the practice of using audio tones and vibrational frequencies to repair damaged tissues and cells within the body and restore the natural, harmonious frequencies on a cellular level. During the treatment we will be using the sound of Tibetan (Himalayan) singing bowls and Gong which have been used for centuries for healing & meditation purposes. During the treatment, singing bowls are placed on the body or around the body and tapped gently with a felt mallet. The calming harmonising sounds as well as the gentle vibrations of the singing bowls induce a feeling of well-being and a very effective deep relaxation ("sound-based relaxation").
